Who’s Andre?

Hi there!

I’m a Brazilian Publisher. We’ll that’s just a little bit of myself.

I graduated at University of Sao Paulo in July 2005. If you never heard of it before, I can tell that it is quite a good uni. Of what I know it’s considered as one of the best in South America and it is listed in the Top100 universities in the world. Well, it’s something!

I studied at the Communication and Arts School (ECA, Escola de Comunicações e Artes) and had the chance to accomplish the Publishing Degree. Even tough a few people know about this course, I can safely say that it’s a very interesting one. To study Publishing at ECA means to be in contact with all the theories of Communication, Design, Text, Writing, Graphic Design, Marketing etc. Moreover, there’s a company held by the students which offers them a real opportunity to develop skills in Leadership, Sharing, Project Management etc.

Finally, our publishers dive into a very particular market, the Publishing market. For this reason, it’s absolutely necessary to have this good basis, which ECA holds.

I spent 2008 in Australia, for I was doing a Postgrad in Marketing. That was definitely one of the best years in my life. I had the chance to study at Curtin Uni, which is an amazing university. I had the chance to know students from all over the world. This multiplicity of ‘worlds’ was certainly the best thing over there.

Nowadays, I’m back in Brazil developing new projects in two major areas — Publishing and Education. Happy to be here, but still looking for new chances overseas =)
